FlashPAP Won't Open!

FlashPAP Won't Open!
I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 on my laptop. As a consequence, I also had to reinstall FlashPAP and Java jru-8u341. FlashPAP won't open with any of the applications within the Java folder. Can anyone suggest fixes to resolve this?

I recall the original installation a few years back was pretty straightforward. Not so this time!

Please post the command line syntax you're using to start FlashPAP.

RE: FlashPAP Won't Open!
That is the FlashAir's config file, not the syntax you use to start FlashPAP. To see if you have the java path set in your Window's profile, open a command prompt (cmd.exe - from the Start menu) and type, java and press enter. Did it display a list of options or just say, 'java' is not recognized?

RE: FlashPAP Won't Open!
It is in your path, or you would have not seen the option list for the command.  It would have told you it didn't recognize the command.

OK, now please provide the following:
12345● Can you see the FlashAir card in your web browser, using the IP listed in the config file you listed?
12345● The path to your FlashPAP folder.
12345● FlashPAP user profile name.

RE: FlashPAP Won't Open!
OK, 2 down and one to go...   In order for FlashPAP to work and communicate with the FlashAir, it must have a user profile set up.    FlashPAP needs this file to instruct it to the CPAP's brand and model, the FlashAir's IP, and the PC's destination directory to store the data.  This file is a normal text file, with a ".fpap" suffix.

You need to create a directory on your computer where you want to store the card's data.  Post this directory name and path and a username you wish to use.  I will create the necessary info to get'er going.

c:\users\kj7fd\documents\oscar_data\profiles\henry

This is where OSCAR apparently creates backup files by default?

RE: FlashPAP Won't Open!
OSCAR is not a concern at this point. First, we need to set up FlashPAP and a location to store the CPAP's data. You can then point OSCAR (later) to this location. I believe you are associating FlashPAP with OSCAR. They are totally separate programs that don't depend on each other. FlashPAP is nothing more than a communication program that's sole purpose is to download the CPAP's FlashAir data to your PC. OSCAR analyzes the CPAP data you supply to it.

Do you want a FlashPAP profile for your A10 named, "kj7fd"? If not, please supply a name.

For the data file's name and path, I would recommend, "C:\A10_Data". If this is agreeable, please create the folder (directory) and let me know if you will be using both my recommendations. I then can proceed in helping you get the data to your PC. Getting the data into OSCAR comes much later.
