RE: Flashair help requested can't connect
Run the "FlashAirFWUpdateToolV4_v40004_C.exe" firmware updater. I had the other and thought I'd send it along. The tool is/was supposed to help in setting up the FlashAir, but I had better results doing it myself.

Make sure you have the FlashAir in your card reader, then execute the F/W updater. It has been awhile since I had to mess with a FlashAir, but my experience was that if I formatted the card(FAT32), ejected it, and then reinserted it, the FlashAir would automatically partition the card with the SD_WLAN directory.

Good luck!

Keep us informed.

I think I may just be tough out of luck.   I downloaded Net Framework 3.5 and tried both tools.   The updater tried to identify the software version and after several tries, it said it is not a FlashAir card.   Maybe if I'd found you guys three years ago, I could have exchanged the card.

I certainly appreciate all your help.

RE: Flashair help requested can't connect
It is possible to solve this problem as I have had the same problem with a FlashAir card with hosed software.

The problem is that Toshiba puts the software at the beginning of the drive, in an unallocated area, and then carefully sets the partition to start after that area. Reformatting or especially repartitioning the drive can reposition the partition and wipe out the FlashAir code.

There are two approaches:

1. Get an image of a working card of the correct size and restore it to your card.

2. Run some software that will recreate the FlashAir code and partition.

I have used both techniques and both work. I am searching to find the software you need as I don't remember what it was.

Bummer!!! Look on the bright side. If you ever get a real FlashAir, you will know how to set it up. Big Grin

Would you like to try the W-03 firmware updater. . . just in case it was miss labeled?

I think I have found how to do this, but I'm not certain.

There is a program named FlashAirTool. It will attempt to find the FlashAir card on the drive you specify. If I remember correctly, eventually it will give up. There is a button named "Initialize the card/change settings." If I remember correctly, that button is the one that will rewrite and repartition the card.

See https://personal.kioxia.com/en-emea/soft...ation.html for directions. You can download the tool from https://flashairtool.software.informer.com/.

I've already tried that tool.   It does not recognize the FlashAir card Sad
