Mold/mildew in CPAP machine/blower unit
After a camping trip back in July in California, there's been a mild odor when I start therapy each night. Over time, this has gotten worse. Since then my mask, tubing, filter and water tank have been replaced. The odor continues. I've even noticed particles in my water tank each morning which is really odd. I can't think where those would be coming from especially when I have a fine mesh filter installed.
What do I do? Try to have the unit replaced?

I'm surprised the odor is not smoke. I don't think you will be able to replace the machine for exposure to unknown contaminates from a camping trip. There are very few parts and pieces that can be replaced, for example the humidifier chamber air-outlet fitting which has a silicone seal, and perhaps the silicone seals that mate to the humidifier chamber.
When I have had used machines with an odor I wanted to eliminate, I used an aerosol product called Ozium. You can find the original formula scent at auto parts stores because it is often used to deodorize vehicles. The way to use this is to spray a cotton ball or an old CPAP filter, and then let the machine draw the vapor through the system for a few minutes. This usually disinfects and eliminates odors. This might be a case where even something like the SoClean might work since it pumps ozone through the machine passages. Your DME may also have some method where they can deodorize a machine.
