I'm not sure if I am allowed to post a url here so if it doesn't show just Google "AerSleep" [commercial link removed].
Does anyone know anything about it?

Has anyone heard of AerSleep?
An ad for AerSleep popped up on Facebook. It says it is only available in Canada but there might be something that uses the same principal elsewhere.

RE: Has anyone heard of AerSleep?
Get yourself a soft cervical collar for $15 and it'll do exactly the same thing. The only real purpose of the pump is to keep the thing in place.

I've never heard of it and interesting that you say only available in Canada. The phone number on the website has a California area code. Having checked out the website and seeing how that thing works, makes me think I'd be getting a hickey all night or have the sensation that a vampire is sucking on my neck.

They do state that you could have a mild red neck for 20-30 minutes afterwards but no hickies. They have partnered in Canada with what appears to be a legitimate company named Avant Sleep. I'm the FB replies to their ad I found that they are doing a 6 month trial in Canada.

If I can get in on the trial, I will report back with my findings. Right now I am on bipap 12-24 and still getting a fairly high ahi. If it can help me, it can help a lot of people. I just hope it isn't another airring.

RE: Has anyone heard of AerSleep?
I was just reading about it. Company called Sommetrics in San Diego. Looks like they have an approved device for use in critical care hospital situations.
Testing for approval now and results due by end of 2022. Sounds promising. I was interested in Inap also, but reading the studies it sounds like Inap doesn't increase the clearance behind the tongue although it helps clear the palate. Anybody in Canada trying the Aersleep? |
