Suggestions to reduce Hypopnea events
Hi,
I have only had my resmed aircurve 11 ASV for a week. I was hoping to get some feedback from office however I do not think that will be happening until sometime next week at best.
Would it be possible to provide some feedback and/or some recommended settings based on Oscar data? I am providing two attachments, both are from the same evening however they are just displaying different information on the left.
Thanks!

You have a very high tidal volume (800's to almost 900 median) and low respiratory rate (7 or so).
You have a similar problem that was presented by a member with ASV just a day ago (here is the thread:
Still Exhausted on ASV
FancyFrog
Sleeprider noticed the air "stacking" in this member's OSCAR chart because of too high a PS min.
1st move would seem to be to lower your PS min to 3. See if this helps.

You might want to redo the settings somewhat. You can follow Jay's suggestion, and maybe further consider doing a self Titration with this chart from ResMed.
I would keep the ASV Auto mode, and edit both EPAP Min and Max, then PS Min and Max.
Alternate, if you want a simple edit, maybe turn down PS Min to 3 or 4, move the 2 or 3 you cut from PS Min over to EPAP Min, which is currently at 4.
I would also suggest turning off the Ramp.

RE: Suggestions to reduce Hypopnea events
Hi,
Thanks to everyone for posting.
I need to take a look further at the post refering me to the person that may be having similar issues to me. The Doctors office responded and the tech should have had my PSmin at 3 not 0. (Similar to what was recommended.)
I have since changed my numbers to:
EPAPmin=4
EPAPmax=8
PSmin=3
PSmax=12
I have disabled ramp. Additionally I have tried taping my mouth which is not going so well. I also don't know why my nasal mask is leaking so much. Prior to switching to an ASV machine I was at a much lower pressure and didn't have the mask leak issue. These higher pressures are most likely attributing to the leaks.
I have added last nights data.
Thanks.

This is a step in the right direction. Here are 2 articles from our Wiki that may help you with leaks and the hypopneas you are having:

RE: Suggestions to reduce Hypopnea events
I think the fairly consistent leaks are an issue. Leaks will force the machine to increase pressure, which in turn creates more leaks.
