Help with making sense of the data

I am very new to all of this.....where do you get your data?

First, I would recommend that you view the video on this Wiki page about Sleep Disordered Breathing, so you have a good introduction concerning Sleep Apnea:


Your AirSense 10 has an SD memory card that stores your machine's data. You can take that card out and use a SD card reader to read access the data on your personal computer (a USB-connected SD card reader usually costs less than $20 from most electronics stores).

You must first download and install one of the free computer software packages for reading and analysing your data. ResMed's proprietary software is ResScan (click here for instructions on how to obtain ResScan), or you can use the open-source SleepyHead software package ([url=http://OSCAR Official Download Page ----> CLICK HERE ./]click here to download SleepyHead[/url]). Many people prefer SleepyHead for ease of use.

If you choose to use ResScan, a good video on that is here.

Note that the video covers ResScan version 3.12, and although the current version is 5.5, it still has a lot of useful and pertinent info in it.

If you use SleepyHead, although the article was written about a previous version of SleepyHead and it needs to be updated, RobySue's Beginner's Guide to SleepyHead is very good.

There's also a good ResScan Interpretation Guide (PDF document) that you may find useful.

Beside the SD card, the machine screen sleep report display ample amount of data
To view this data, you'll need to set "Essentials" to "Plus" from the clinical menu
defaut set on "Usage", only hours using the machine shown
When done that, scroll down the sleep report, change "Period" to "1 Day" so you can see AHI and other data for the previous night and AHI matches with "events per hour" shown at the top of the sleep report
