HI walla,
I did ask mom about last night last half hour what position or anything beneath neck. she said she side sleep, so mask won't leak on the side. She is not aware chin touch front. I tried to explain will see how it goes
RE: How to overcome if you breath with mouth and nose same time when wear mask
4/10, change to use auto set mode from auto for her. Pressure stay the same. AHI go higher at 14, Mom said air so strong and cause ear pain.
BTW, why sleepyhead say The most useful charts for diagnostic purposes are:
- Event Flags
- Flow Rate
- Pressure
- Leak Rate
- Snore
- Flow Limit
but not AHI? Isn't AHI is one of important measurement (as far as myair app receive each day)
Please let me know your thoughts
thank you

The AHI graph is not that important to see, as we can see the AHI and breakdown of AHI on the left sidebar. Also, the events graphs shows each event, the time it occurred and what the pressure was at the time. Also, look at the flow graphs, the colored flags match up with the events listed on the left sidebar and the events graph.
Look at the events graph starting at approximately 23:40, there are a cluster of obstructive events.
I wonder if your mom rolled over onto her back during that time. This is when “chin tucking”
occurs and causes obstructives and the use of a “soft” cervical collar would help prevent that.
I know your mom said she side sleeps, but it’s really not possible to know that unless someone is watching her every minute of sleep.
RE: How to overcome if you breath with mouth and nose same time when wear mask
thank you everyone here with timely response. I am experiencing difficulties to help mom since last year. I feel like time is running out on me when she return back to china and support is none.
I don't find Chinese support forum there. The only one i could find block IP from foreign country.
Really appreciate for your kindness

The pressure stayed the same because you have the maximum set at 15 cm. The good news is that all of the events are OA and can be helped with more pressure. The bad news is that she needs more pressure. I would increase the max pressure to 17 and see if that helps. As far as not being able to handle the pressure, you may have to try a different type of mask. My wife uses a Mirage FX mask, which is not full, but covers the whole nose. She seems to be able to handle the higher pressures with it. The neck collar as others have suggested may help too. I don't have any experience with them.
As I said before I put the AHI on a lower level because it is just a curiosity more than a help. You can really tell the same thing by looking at the Events bar. It just shows what time of night the events are happening. I don't find it any more helpful than the Events bar.

Hi Ron, the only change i made is from "autoset for her " mode to "standard" mode last night, that is why i mean "pressure remain the same as previous night 8-15", since 4/9 the AHI is high at 10 (please see post #55 and 57). I was trying to see whether standard mode can help OA events better.
RE: How to overcome if you breath with mouth and nose same time when wear mask
The fact that the events were lower before makes me believe even more that it's a positional cause. People tend to tuck their chin in more when sleeping on their side. I really think the cervical collar will help a lot!
RE: How to overcome if you breath with mouth and nose same time when wear mask
OK, I understand now. To take advantage of the standard mode, you will have to increase the maximum pressure too. Yes, and I know I think I told you to leave that alone. Suggest increasing to 17 cm. And keep investigating the collar approach. That may work too.

would you please let me know compare to strap and collar, which is better?
I looked up amazon, Collar has all the way to the neck back, which could be very disturbing to her, i am thinking may try get a toddler u shape pillow see works better.
