How to overcome if you breath with mouth and nose same time when wear mask
RE: How to overcome if you breath with mouth and nose same time when wear mask
I was going to describe the two hoses but a picture is better. The hoses I'm showing are for a S9 but the color will be the same for the A10.

Each person responds differently to each hose's use.  When I first started treatment I could use the Slimline if the humidity was above 45%.  Below that humidity level would cause severe coughing and sinus problems  Using the ClimateLine at the lower humidity levels would prevent the sinus and coughing problems.  The longer I've been on CPAP therapy, the lower I can tolerate lower humidity levels before I need the ClimateLine hose.

The ClimateLine can be used like the Slimline by turning it off.  The ClimateLine also aids in two areas.  #1, it can warm the air which allows for better O2 absorption by the lungs and #2, it can provide higher humidity levels before "rainout" occurs.   "Rainout" is were the humidity level is so high in the hose, compared to the ambient temperature of the room, that condensation will form.

If I only could choose one hose, it would be the ClimateLine.

I hope I answered your question this time Big Grin

yes, definitely.

"humidity was above 45%", is this come from daily weather?

Yes. We refer to this as "ambient" humidity, or the humidity in the normal air we breathe.

Hi Ron or Crimson, do you have allergy issue using the nasal mirage mask. My mom said around the nose skin she feels allergic. thanks

I use either a full face mask (FFM) or nasal pillows.  I've never used a nasal mask.  Every mask that I have seen uses silicone for the seals.  As far as I know silicone is hypoallergenic, meaning people won't have a reaction to it.   .  .  unlike latex.  It could possibly be a residue left from the soap she uses to clean the mask.   You might try baby shampoo and/or wipe the mask with an alcohol swab after washing to remove any residue.

Sorry I can't offer any better ideas.

I only tried that mask briefly and I couldn't make it seal with a reasonable pressure. I did not use it long enough to determine if I reacted to it. My wife has used it for three years now, and while she gets marks on her cheeks from the straps she has not suffered any irritation from the silicone rubber seal.
