You got lucky. Start working on a new machine.

Wow! What an incredible catch by Sleeprider! Only an expert with extraordinary level knowledge could have known of such an issue, and provided a fix.
If you don't tell your insurance company you fixed it yourself, maybe they will pay for a new one. They will probably check up on you, to verify you are using the new one. But keep the old one as a backup for the old one. : Or is that too sneaky? It did fail, and maybe 99% of customers would have given up on it. I personally found I sleep somewhat well with one brand/model of CPAP, but not at all well with another. If you are like me in that, it may be worth it to stay within the same brand and model that works for you.

Most of those suppliers are DMEs in real life that fill out their sales by offering discounted sales online. Y Look at the price of an auto CPAP in 2017. Wow!

Start looking for a new doc and re-up your scrip just in case you have another issue. No time like the present!
