How to set IPAP on Resmed Air Curve
Have new sleep study results but they were given as IPAP and EPAP values. 15 and 8. Pressure support 10 with min 5 and max 15.
My machine wants min EPAP and max EPAP.....I am unsure how to enter the new settings. I know how to access the Clinical menu....just not sure which value to put where.
Help appreciated

RE: How to set IPAP on Resmed Air Curve
Your pressures were prescribed as though you have a fixed bilevel. On an auto you can set that as EPAP min 5.0, IPAP max 15.0 and PS 5.0 and have fixed pressure. Alternative is to use VPAP S mode and just set IPAP/EPAP or for som pressure variance (auto) you can use the Vauto mode with a higher IPAP and keep PS 10. Not sure what you are treating, but that is a lot of pressure support without a backup rate. Most people need the timed trigger for IPAP due to induced central’s from the high PS.

Appreciate the reply. There is no way to set an IPAP value. Only min and max EPAP. Does either of those correlate to IPAP?!

If you are in the "S" mode, then you will have an EPAP and IPAP value only.  Using it in VAuto mode will present you with a EPAP Min, PS, and an IPAP max as options.  While in the "S" mode, it will not report Flow Limitations.

EDIT: Oops -  I just saw the "ASV" tag. Ignore this post! Big Grin
