And still, people don't see the harm in DHMO... we really need more education on this deadly substance...

Don't people realize that if you inhale enough of DHMO that you can die within minutes? And yet, for what is most likely a cost-saving measure, local municipal water systems are allowing this stuff to come through our kitchen faucets (and many folks drink from their faucets unfiltered, allowing all the DHMO into what they drink and cook with).

The sad part of all this is that I recently read that the 4-6 cups of Columbian coffee I drink on a daily basis has large quantities of DHMO in it.

Many people are still using DHMO as a solvent. I recently used a product that contained DHMO to help clean spots off of my dish towels, it worked really well, especially when combined with household bleach, but now I have to wonder... have I contaminated my kitchen with this stuff?

The world may never know for sure how dangerous DHMO really is. Sad indeed.

I try to use distilled water, although I had to switch to "purified" water (either RO filtered or distilled) for a while. My humidifier tank comes apart so that I can actually wash it out, so I don't need to use distilled water, but I feel better using it in terms of purity of the air that I breathe.

As for the deadly DHMO, well, what can you say, life is full of risks. You can get hit by a bus crossing the road, or a 1000 lb. safe can drop on you any time *smile*.

When I started this post I had no idea of some of the 'issues' that would be uncovered but I found out something really positive which I can take 'some' comfort in:
I read somewhere that while we sleep during our lifetime, 'on average' we unwittingly 'swallow' nine spiders that 'crawl' into our mouths looking for a drink! (Somebody probably got paid a lot of money to 'Research' this??)
Ha, not me though, not unless they can get through the filter on my machine or through all the other 'Crap' that's being blown in there! (Please see my other post 'Funny times with Cpap 'Sort of?) there you will 'find' something 'Blown' into my nose that you wouldn't wish on anyone!
That 'was' unintended sarcasm in my earlier posting but 'Irony', 'Sarcasm', 'Puns', well, hey I'm English, it's a way of life over here?
