Help! Mask being blown off my face!

Help! Mask being blown off my face!
I don't recall this before.

Every night, I start with a good seal and fall asleep.

A couple hours in, the mask is literally lifting off my face with each inhale.

I've tried tightening down the mask and even switched masks las night...so solution?

Bad settings? Bad machine?

You have a pretty broad range of pressure settings. The fact it lifts during inhale suggests you are using EPR. If you can control events with lower pressure, then do that, otherwise I'd consider a change in mask model.

Wow, that was an improvement.

I moved my pressures to 7-17, and no more facial explosions! My ears are still a little jammed up this morning though. AHI went down to 1.78 and max pressure was just under the limit.

I figured that I would have hit the limit given my pressures from the previous nights. I suspect that the pressure regulation when you get close to the machine max has a bit of gross error. (No doubt there is an analog-to-digital converter there feeding back the pressures to the microcontroller and it is probably skewed to provide more detail accuracy in the mid-range. Yes. I design these kinds of chips. NERD ALERT!)
