Journal.dat file?

Journal.dat file?
My wife is doing an at-home titration and I copied over the SD Card data. I made sure to lock the SD card (using the physical switch) when copying over, but I still noticed the SD Card has a file called "Journal.dat" on it. Trying to understand if that file is supposed to be there or if I need to delete it before she returns the machine? I know that when there's extra files/folders on the card, the doctor's software is unable to read the data...

You didn't mention which machine she was using, but for my S10 here is the file structure:
