Linux Mint 22
I cannot run Oscar on Linux Mint 22. It is saying there is a dependency libqt5core5a issue.

I am using the latest version

Does anybody know how to resolve this?

Hi grioghair!  -  Welcome
I will be moving your post to the Software Support Forum.

As far as your problem, what version of the Ubuntu installer did you use?  According to their site, it is using the Linux Kernel 6.8, which is the same as Ubuntu 24.04.

RE: Linux Mint 22
I've run a brand new VM with a fresh install of Linux Mint 22 (with the latest updates) : the official deb file works (test was done with Ubuntu 22.04 deb file but Ubuntu 24.04 works also). Both can be founded on https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/

Did you use a deb file what have been already made ou did you try to build your own executable from sources ?

The official deb file is supposed to automatically install the dependant packet. If you try to build your own executable, you have to do it manually.

I have the same issue as Grioghair reported. Upgrading to Linux Mint 22 (Wilma) removed OSCAR and it won't install. Same msg that Grioghair got.

Hi CPAPUser2023! - Welcome
Which Linux version did you try reinstalling? I upgraded using one of my boxes to LM22 and didn't experience any problems when I reinstalled Ubuntu24.

RE: Linux Mint 22
Sorry!  I should have been more specific.  I was referring to the OSCAR Linux version number, the Ubuntu22 or the Ubuntu24 build.

RE: Linux Mint 22
It appears that the installation breaks when libqt5core5t64 is version > 5.9. The current version for Ubuntu 24.04 (Noble) is 5.15.13. Is the error check legit and libqt5core5t64 must be downgraded or will OSCAR function with the current version? If so how do you ignore the error on install?

RE: Linux Mint 22
Try installing libqt5core5a.  My upgraded Linux Mint 22 has both the "a" and the "t64" and OSCAR runs.  Both are version 5.15.13.

When I find time, I will create a VM clean install of LM 22 and see what happens. I am not to enamored with LM22. None o my hardware is new enough to have any advantage over LM21.
