Looking for Good Sleep Doctor in San Francisco Bay Area

Looking for Good Sleep Doctor in San Francisco Bay Area
I'm so glad to have found this Apnea Board.

I recently received results of an in-office sleep study. I seem to have more central sleep apneas and hypopneas than obstructive apneas. I've been using a Resmed S9 Auto for a week, and have been collecting data on Oscar.

I currently have a sleep doctor who "phones it in" and will not respond to my questions or concerns. So, I'm looking for a sleep doctor in the San Francisco Bay Area who is accessible, listens carefully, is knowledgeable, and who believes patients can and should take an active role in their own good health. If he/she is a specialist in central apneas, that would be a plus, as would a compassionate and pleasant nature (am I asking too much?).

My need has become a bit more urgent since last week when I went to the emergency room (on my birthday!) and was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. Sleep apnea has been tagged as the primary cause of the AFib.

Your recommendations for a great sleep doctor will be greatly appreciated.

When I have collected and organized my questions, I will post some Oscar charts.

Welcome to the forum.
Don't wait to post your OSCAR charts. They will show us what is going on. Often we will see something that you had no idea was going on. If we don't explain something to your satisfaction please ask us, we would be happy to provide you with whatever you want to know.
