Mask liner alter the fit of the mask?
I have used mask liner in the past and it helps reduce noise, sometimes prevent leaks and reduce itching. I noticed that it sometimes alters the fit of the mask. I currently wear a hybrid mask F 40 by Resmed. Has anyone found that the fit seems tighter using the liner and it makes it hard to exhale ?
RE: Mask liner alter the fit of the mask?
There are thin mask liners and thicker ones (and all kinds in between). I like the thinner ones.
The liner drapes over the edges of my mask, therefore it does kind of block out a little bit of the total area inside the mask at the lip (possibly slightly reduced airflow). Not a big difference for me. When purchasing a mask liner: Try to visualize with the liner how big the hole they leave in the middle of the liner is going to be compared to your mask shape (dimensions).

You are very welcome. I tried some different materials (silk, cloth, etc.) I had laying around on my mask (thin, medium, and thick) to see how they would feel and seal my mask (cut them to a rough size and put them over my mask and turned machine on for a few seconds to minutes to get the feel and sense of it.
