Mask liner alter the fit of the mask? - sleepingbetterinFl - 11-03-2024 I have used mask liner in the past and it helps reduce noise, sometimes prevent leaks and reduce itching. I noticed that it sometimes alters the fit of the mask. I currently wear a hybrid mask F 40 by Resmed. Has anyone found that the fit seems tighter using the liner and it makes it hard to exhale ? RE: Mask liner alter the fit of the mask? - Jay51 - 11-03-2024 There are thin mask liners and thicker ones (and all kinds in between). I like the thinner ones. The liner drapes over the edges of my mask, therefore it does kind of block out a little bit of the total area inside the mask at the lip (possibly slightly reduced airflow). Not a big difference for me. When purchasing a mask liner: Try to visualize with the liner how big the hole they leave in the middle of the liner is going to be compared to your mask shape (dimensions). RE: Mask liner alter the fit of the mask? - sleepingbetterinFl - 11-03-2024 Thank you - I use one from pad a cheek which cut outs match really well the mask cushion RE: Mask liner alter the fit of the mask? - Jay51 - 11-03-2024 You are very welcome. I tried some different materials (silk, cloth, etc.) I had laying around on my mask (thin, medium, and thick) to see how they would feel and seal my mask (cut them to a rough size and put them over my mask and turned machine on for a few seconds to minutes to get the feel and sense of it. |
