Melatonin
Hi-not a doctor nor do I play one on TV? I took a micro dose of melatonin a few days ago(.3 mg) because I’m trying the jet lag app and leaving for India in a few days. Been using Resmed air sense 10 and have 4.5-6 score nightly. The night I took the melatonin, score went down to 2.8. Tried a lower dose next night(about 1/2) and it went down to 1.4.

Anyone heard of this? I’m frankly stunned.

Thanks ?

RE: Melatonin
While you are the first that I can remember to report this, I can see some logic in it. The melatonin may be relaxing you enough to reduce your arousal based events. Most people will hold their breath while repositioning, which could cause a reported event. Less movement would reduce these events. All this is just my guess.

It boils down to an old saying, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth". Big Grin

Bottom line: Do you feel better when you wake up?

RE: Melatonin
I've experienced the same - melatonin is a powerful oxidizer and although it can help you fall asleep it's generally not recommended for long term use.

I've been having very nice results on magnesium threonate + apigenin recently.

RE: Melatonin
Yes I do. I was a tiny bit groggy on the higher dosage but the lower dosage seems to working well.

I’ve read lots of data on micro doses being effective and not harmful.  Can’t believe some folks take 10-30 mg not mcg! Will take a look at what you take. Thanks!
