Mirage Activa Nasal Mask

Mirage Activa Nasal Mask
I am presently using the Mirage Activa Nasal Mask with the Remstar Pro Cpap Machine.
I have recently purchased the DreamStation 500 but I don't have it setup yet.
My questions are, any reason this mask won't work fine with the DreamStation?
Also will the exhaust air from the mask show up as leakage on the reporting software?

RE: Mirage Activa Nasal Mask
Hello, CurtRug. Welcome to the forum.

All masks will work with all machines.

Yes, the exhaust air will show up in the software as leaks. Philips Respironics reports intentional and unintentional leaks together. If you are planning on using the Respironics DreamMapper app it will report leaks as mask fit. You want the mask fit number as close to 100% as possible. If you are going to use the free software SleepyHead, which is highly recommended by members of this forum, you can set the software up to show graphs of both total leakage and unintentional leakage. There is a link at the top of the page to the download site at the top of the page. While you're at it, it would be a good idea to download a copy of the clinician's manual. It has instructions on how to use the various features on your machine. There is a link to download the clinician's manual at the top of the page as well.

Sleep well.

Thank you, I have several new Mirage Activa masks and parts so I didn't want to change masks if not necessary.
Also I had planned to use Sleepmaster software to activate a Toshiba Flashair card as well as to download data
to a PC and then use SleepyHead to view it but if I'm interpreting it right, the latest version of Sleepmaster has a
viewer built in?

RE: Mirage Activa Nasal Mask
It does appear the new version of Sleepmaster does have a viewer. I wasn't aware of that as I use FlashPap to transfer my files to my computer. Either program does a good job of transferring files from a wifi card to a computer. The built in view that comes with Sleepmaster would be nice, though.

Not exactly - it calls up the viewer you specify.

is anyone using a wifi card with sleepyhead?

How are you getting SleepyHead to read it?

I do not currently have a wifi card and just want to understand how it works with SleepyHead before I order one.

There are two programs that are popular with the folks on the forum. They are FlashPap and Sleepmaster. Either of them does well in transferring data from a wifi card to computer. I use a FlashAir III wifi card in my CPAP machine. You will need to have a standard sd card dedicated to you sleep files. Just leave the dedicated card in your computer and point the app you choose to use to transfer the data to it during setup. The side benefit is having a backup copy of your sleep data on a sd card you can grab and take to your sleep doctor.
