I've just installed PrismaTS and am wondering what charts I need to include here for a review and some advice? My Prisma machine doesn't work with OSCAR, and I've looked at the wiki page on how to set up OSCAR for posting here, but it doesn't feel like I can copy it with PrismaTS.
I've been using the CPAP for approximately 16 months. I had one episode of Atrial Fibrillation which triggered a sleep study (amongst other things). The sleep study showed I had an AHI of 16-17. I got an APAP machine, and have been using it really diligently (I don't think I've missed a night). I didn't have any sleep apnoea symptoms before starting treatment - it was purely triggered by the AF episode. But since starting the treatment, I've been more tired. A friend who works in the sleep-medicine world says that it's important for my heart health that I keep using the APAP, so I am - but I'm tireder now than before I was using it. I feel like I sleep reasonably well with it, but I also feel like I spend more time trying to fall asleep in the night than I used to. I also haven't experienced any of the "magical" improvements that I have been mentioned along the way. I've not been super-charged with energy, I've not lost weight.
I was hoping to be used to the machine by now - it's been a long time. The nasal prong-mask thing fits well, and I don't have significant leaks.
Anyway - if someone could please let me know what to upload, I would love for someone to have a look at my charts and let me know their insights. My sleep specialist says that "it's all looking really good" but I'm hoping it could look even better with some tweaks.
I would also like some insight to the chances of me losing some weight - 10 or even 20 kg - would potentially impact my apnoea. I've tried to lose weight my whole life, and have always struggled with it. But the motivation of not being tied to this machine overnight is strong!
Thank you all so much in advance.
