My sleep apnea is quite variable. I want to reduce my lowest setting of AutoSV Bipap from 4 to 1. How to do this? Any ideas?
I am very technical so I can understand any highly technical suggestions.

Modifying Philips AutoSV Bipap Machine Lowest setting
Hey Guys,
My sleep apnea is quite variable. I want to reduce my lowest setting of AutoSV Bipap from 4 to 1. How to do this? Any ideas? I am very technical so I can understand any highly technical suggestions. thanks Sal

4cm is the lowest your unit can go. There are some models that I've list 3cm as their lowest but that's it. According to Philips' website, your unit's pressure range is from 4cm to 30cm.

The answer is no. 4 is the lowest setting available. What are you trying to do? What are trying to do? Did you post over on MyApnea?
Do you have the clinical manual? If not click on the CPAP Setup Manuals link in the banner above. We are pretty good at reducing Central events around here. I do recommend downloading Sleepyhead to view in detail what is happening. Fred

yes, I posted on myapnea.org too. I wanted to get a different view. see my response there too. Any hack to lower this lowest pressure on bipap machine? I am fine with hacking the software in some way.
right...hopefully I find a way. is there any way to get pressures in 1-6 range?

It's not just about central apnea research. it's part of a much bigger project. for now, if you can help me getting lower pressures like in 1-6 range, it will be helpful. I can buy different equipment if needed.
