N20 mask drops of water in mask

N20 mask drops of water in mask
This is my only mask that does this but it’s also my favorite right now. I’ve turned the humidity to zero and tube temp down to 74 and I still had to dry out the mask twice last night. I’m guessing it’s because of that little white tube that connects to the heated hose since my other masks don’t have that? If so I wonder if a hose cover for just that would do the trick?  Any suggestions are appreciated.

You would probably have to set your hose temperature higher than your room temperature, plus a fleece type hose cover works well.

Ok thanks. Room temp is 66-68 so it’s lower than hose temp by quite a bit

Make sure the hose travels uphill at some point between the unit and the mask. Folks have different ways to hang the hose, so it goes up from the unit.

Per my DME I emptied the water out of the chamber and set my tube temp and humidity to zero.  I've done this for three nights and really like the way it feels without the humidity but I'm still getting condensation and drops of water in my mask (my bedroom is kept pretty cold).  Will a hose cover prevent this or do I need a "snugz" deal over my mask?  I have tried the hose above my head but that didn't do anything either.

been using the n20 without humidifier or heated tube for a month and never had this happen. how high is the humidity?

i don't see how a hose cover would change anything if the air is already at room temperature?

Humidity here is pretty high but my bedroom is about 66 degrees.  N20 without humidity or heated tube so far might be my favorite setup...once I get this condensation deal figured out.

I cut out a rag and wrapped it around that hose, then attached it with rubber bands, and/or masking tape. And it stopped the humidity problem. I have noticed the home delivery store has a short 12 inch hose for such a need.

Great to know that worked! I did order a short hose cover and it’s supposed to be here today or tomorrow

My machine is in my night-table's top drawer.  The hose moves directly toward the bed, over my midriff, and curves back up towards my face.  About two full feet of the hose drape onto the mattress past my body, so the loop is a doozy.  I then cover the hose with the top cover, of which I only use a thin one this time of year.  Even in winter, unless the bedroom gets down to about 62 deg, which it can, that one blanket suffices for me.

Between a meagre setting of about 2-4 on the humidity scale, and a tube heat around 78 deg, and with my body and cover helping to warm it even more, I never get condensation inside my N20.

IMO, you don't need to use a tube cover.  Well, you DO, actually, but it doubles as a cover for your body.
