[Equipment] Gaps in data?
#11
RE: Gaps in data?
Since I spent 6 years with SmartStart/StupidStop enabled, I was pretty anxious about turning it off. I had a whole set of habits. Put mask on, holding my breath as I settled it into place and then a sharp blow to kick the blower to life. Then to turn off, hold breath, hit power button to turn off, continue to hold breath while pulling mask off to prevent blowing the machine back on.

This allowed me to use the SmartStart feature without having stupid data spikes from the massive leaks caused by using the StupidStop to actually turn the machine off.

I was mostly worried about coming back from a bathroom break, and doing the sharp blow that won't turn it on anymore since I disabled SmartStart/StupidStop, and then falling asleep before noticing that the machine wasn't on. I've caught myself a few times...

I've had SmartStart/StupidStop turned off for 8 months and I still hold my breath while pulling mask on and off!

That's exactly the sequence I use.  Smile

With the Brevida mask I use now, I just breath through my mouth while putting it on. It probably takes about one second to remove it.
