Nasal mask causing centrals
Hi all,
Was curious if anyone had experience between switch mask types. Do you need to adjust pressure at all?
Typically use the f40, PS 4 with 15-9 range and have minimal central apneas. Last night I tried a nasal pillow mask for the first time. I felt like i could breath incredible through my nose for the first time. Well i woke up a million times. I changed the pressure middle of the night to get rid of pressure support even and still had 23ahi all listed as central’s by my machine. My typical nightly ahi is below 1.

I had to drop min pressure when I went from a nasal cushion to pillows. The amount I could see would be based on individuals needs , for some it may not be any.

Boy, that's confusing. Were you perhaps using the F40 with full-face mask settings, then left it on those same settings for the pillows mask? I know the F40 instructions are to use pillows settings, but some folks like it better on the full-face setting. If so, that's probably all that's wrong.
If that's not the case please post an Oscar chart. Then we can probably see what went haywire. Post a prior night also so we can compare them. I think comparing the charts should give us an answer.
