Grr

I'm amazed to "hear" that -- I've used nasal masks (units like but not the same as the F10) for most of the years I've used my PAPs, and the F10 exhausts as well as any of them. But that's my experience, which doesn't affect yours at all. Please explain how you've determined that it isn't venting sufficiently, and the effects you're experiencing. (I don't want to argue with you or debate about your conclusion, just learn, and perhaps discover things I might want to address.)

Oh, and I'm very sad to hear that it was so disappointing for you.

The basic hit that it doesn't  vent enough for me is waking up anđ not being about to force an exhale without blowing out the seal around the mask.

The F10 is significantly harder than the Simplus...easy to determine... cover the feedhole and try to blow air out...big difference .

RE: New Attempt Tonight
Your last (and only) graph shows you are using The Autoset at pressures of 5-18 with EPR 3. Your median pressure at that time was nearly 10 cm. That's not very high pressure, and with EPR is 10/7 pressure.  I can assure you the vent rate of your mask is not the problem.  Your therapy seems to fall apart when pressures rise to around 11 cm H2O, so maybe your should consider a pressure range of 8-11, and keep your EPR at 3.  I don't see significant problems here other than the need to adapt and get used to the pressure.  Maybe give us an update on the therapy graphs.

RE: New Attempt Tonight
Back on the SimPlus  FFM, and looged new data last night....shown below.

I'm not real happy with the results....awakened too many times and no sleep after 4:30's roust. So I'm dead tired this morning.

Anyway...here's the data.

I think you should try sleeprider's advice and adjust your pressures to what he said. Large pressure swings tend to wake some people up.

RE: New Attempt Tonight
I would go with at least 8 as a minimum pressure, you might need slightly more, but go with 8 for now.
You maximum pressure is not quite so important, but I would limit it to a maximum of 15, but go with a slightly lower pressure to see what happens, like 12 or 13, it can always be adjusted again.
Go with Sleeprider's suggestion for now and see what happens.
Most of the AHIs are obstructive, however, to much pressure might bring about other problems.
I am NOT a doctor.  I try to help, but do not take what I say as medical advice.

RE: New Attempt Tonight
I did try 8 for a VERY short time two nights ago....felt like I was being smothered...so I bumped it back down...I figure I have to work the lower pressure up over a few nights to get used to it.

This.  The pressure swings are probably what are waking you up.  Did you adjust your maximum to what Sleeprider suggested at the time you changed your Min to 8?  Keep in mind, one or two nights does not a trend make.  You need to stick with the settings for a few nights to see if the changes have the desired effect.

Other than that.  Stick with it, it will get easier and you will get used to it in time.  I myself can't sleep very well unless I use my machine.  I fall asleep far faster than I ever used to without it either at the beginning of the night or even if I get woken up in the middle of the night.
