RE: New CPAP user - keeping me awake every night so far
+1 on a hose hanger or holder. It really does make a big difference in regards to hose management. I fabricated one of my own.
I didn't use it until I was about 30 or so nights into SA therapy. I'm a side-sleeper and a mouth-breather. I'm currently using a ResMed AirFit F30 FFM. I'm doing well with it.
I'm one of the lucky ones! SA therapy for me, has gone very well from the very start. I slept the whole 1st night thru. My AHI was 4.3 I believe. The 2nd night on, it was well below 3.0, and my average is something like 1.7. My lowest so far, has been 0.3.
Once you find that mask that serves you well, most everything else will fall into place. Hang in there and keep at it. Every now & then, I take a night off and sleep w/o gearing up. I'm not saying that everyone should, but for me and my long-term game plan, that's how I'm approaching it.

thank you so much for the encouragement, everyone here is fantastic, what a wonderful support group this is. heading in to night 4. I got a new pillow, readjusted the fit on the mask, and a renewed hope. I'll definitely look into getting a hose hanger of some sort. Here's hoping, and sweet dreams everyone!

Yes, everyone here is super supportive. I have the same set up and I'm just two weeks ahead of you on therapy. Having the data is so key for me. The myAir report doesn't give you the detail to see what exactly happened during the night. Keep at it!!
