If it wasn't for...

If it wasn't for...
CPAP Therapy and frustration, I wouldn't have much to look forward to.  Oh-jeez

My "go to" mask has been the AirFit F30. All of a sudden, it's not serving me well. Two nights ago, I could only stand it for a little over three hours. Last night, it was only 2.5 hours.

I inspected the cushion and although it looked and felt fine, I installed a brand-new one. The new one made no difference. It got to be so flimsy feeling, I couldn't make it seal properly.

I checked the machine settings and nothing was changed. I made sure that the cushion is securely snapped into place in the mask frame.

I'll try my AirFit F40 tonight and see what happens................ Dont-know

I'm so sorry that you are having mask problems. This seems to be the most common issue people face with pap use.  I hope the F40 works better this time.

Good luck!  Smile

I acquired the F40 a couple of months ago. I was curious about it, so a local ROTECH supplier let me swap out a still sealed in the package F30 for an F40. That was really great of them and I let them know that.

I did fine with the F40, but the F30 was still my favorite mask. No idea why the F30 is now betraying me, even with a brand new cushion.

I'm going to go thru the settings on my 10 AutoSet one more time to make sure everything is the same.

Yes I am well aware of that. It's one of the tougher items to discern whether or not it's still good.  Oh-jeez

I do have new headgear on hand.  Eat-popcorn

I use the F30 exclusively and have never liked the headgear.

There are 2 alternatives that fit the F30

Philips Respironics Amara view # 1090697 standard size

Fisher & Paykel Evora # 400EVF121 standard size

I like the F&P better

the headgear tends to stretch out which may or may not be visible. just a little bit of stretch could make a big difference in the leaks. the solution is to tighten up a little until you get to where you can't stretch any more then replace.
