I've used a CPAP for over a decade. Until late last year, I used a ResMed S9, and absolutely loved it. It was a complete life changer. However, I had used it way past the "you need a new motor" message, and decided to get a replacement, just in case. My ENT was finally able to get me an AirSense 10 AutoSet.
I just found your forum today, and can already see that there is much love for this machine. But for me, SO FAR, it's been miserable.
The main bullet points I have are as follows:
- My first problem was that it was trying to drown me, even at a low humidity setting (2 or 3). So I enabled the "auto" control for the temperature, etc.
- That led to my second problem: the warm air feels suffocating to me. I never feel like I can get a breath.
With the S9, I never woke up 2 to 3 hrs early because of the "attempts to drown" or "I can't catch a breath" feeling. With this AirSense 10, it is starting to happen more frequently: about two or three times a week.
In an ideal world, I would NOT have a ClimateLineAir tube, and it would just be the temperature that's in my room (like my old S9).
What information can I provide to help you guys help me find the right settings so I can get back to a good night's sleep?
Thank you so very much!
