RE: New board member from Germany
Many thanks for your nice words.
I have already learned from a German board that I do not have to accept the standard equipment. It may take a while but I'm pretty sure that I will find the best solution shortly.
I wake up very often with an extremely dry mouth. Last night I woke up and realized that my mouth was slightly open. This may also be the reason for the high leakage. I think I have to buy a strap in order to avoid the mouth breathing.

Guten morgen, Herr Köbes,
A chin strap (Google for Ruby chin strap) or a soft cervical collar are both effective approaches for helping with mouth breathing.
Before trying those, you might also want to try the tongue technique described in my signature below.

Guten Abend Mr. Sheepish
I think the tongue technique take some time to learn.
RE: New board member from Germany
Yes, and being determined and intent upon it really helps. I haven't managed to make it work for me unless I am conscious. As soon as I drift off, I lose all tone and I get the air rushing out of my open mouth. Yet, many report here that they have eventually mastered the technique and can maintain a closed mouth in their sleep, or at least an elevated tongue that won't let the air past it.
Good luck to you.
