OSCAR reports fixed pressues

OSCAR reports fixed pressues
Just started using a Dreamstation Auto BiPAP, and OSCAR reports:
Philips Respironics DreamStation
Auto BiPAP
PAP Mode: Fixed Bi-Level
EPAP 6.0 IPAP 10.0 (cmH2O)

...just wondering if this is an "Auto" machine, why are the pressures fixed? I suspect I'll find out as I read more about setting the pressures in the clinician manual. So far, only the DME salesman has touched it.

Those are solid Fixed Bi-level settings. That is the mode, you should have an auto mode as well.

Look for a Bauto or Auto BiPAP mode. Once that is selected you will be able to set EPAP min, Max apressure and PS min, PS max.

It looks like this machine can be configured as my old one was (Auto CPAP, I think), so I think the DME guy did that (almost, but the two fixed pressures were wrong) to tide me over until the MD decided how to program the fancier BiPAP stuff. I see her next week.
