REMstar error reading SD Card
I have a REMstar Auto System On CPAP. It is about five years old. It displayed the message that "There was a error reading the SD card. Remove and Reinsert". I didn't have time to mess with it so I pushed the round knob to shut it off. Now it won't start. I have removed the card but it seems dead.

Try unplugging from power source, wait a few minutes and plug back in.

I did try that. No response at all. I pulled the SD card and noticed that it was slightly melted on the contact end. Sounds bad.

I was going to suggest that the SD card may be full, but I've never heard of melted.
Even if the card was full, the machine shouldn't turn off. You could try a new card. How many hours are on the Cpap? It may be at the end of it's life.

WELCOME! to the forum.! It sounds like a new machine is in order. Hang in there for more responses to your post, good luck with CPAP therapy and getting a new machine.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have only been using the CPAP for about 5 years. I wouldn't think there would be that many hours on it. I will hope for a couple of good nights until business on Monday.
