OSCAR 1.5 , permissive mode vs. clinical mode
Hi ,
Any easy explanation on the difference of the permissive mode and clinical mode in the new 1.5 version ?
I am using Resmed VAuto, I switch to clinical mode, when new data imported, I can see trigger/cycle date now.
Is it the difference on permissive mode and clinical mode, or its just a new feature listed as Bilevel data showing.
Thanks.
RE: OSCAR 1.5 , permissive mode vs. clinical mode
The difference is the Clinical mode prevents you from deselecting sleep sessions, whereas the Permissive will allow it. This was done for two reasons. One is to notify any reviewer of your Statistic page that they are not seeing all the data. Two, it can prevent a user from accidentally deselecting a sleep session.

Just to clarify -
Trigger and cycle settings were added as a new feature, as well as other settings of various biLevel machines.

RE: OSCAR 1.5 , permissive mode vs. clinical mode
I want to change the Operating Mode to Permissive
Do not understand how to do the following:
[Changing the Oscar Operating Mode:
Requires a reload of the user's profile. Data will be saved and restored.]
Please explain how to make the change.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Preferences → Clinical Tab → Passive

RE: OSCAR 1.5 , permissive mode vs. clinical mode
RED: "Preferences → Clinical Tab → Passive"
I see no 'Passive', assume 'permissive mode'?
File - Preferences - Clinical - then select permissive...
I do this, but no way to save that change.
Oscar's only choice is 'x' to close the window.
RE: OSCAR 1.5 , permissive mode vs. clinical mode
You are correct! That was a typo.
The reason you are not seeing the Cancel and OK is because your monitor's display resolution is too small.
I just tested this to make sure it works: Select the Permissive Mode, press the Tab key 4-times, Press Enter.

PappaJoe - Can you please describe your display and computer.
Screen Resolution (like 1280x960)
Scale 100% or 125% , etc ...
and physical size 14" or 15.5" , etc...
and OS. uBuntu 20.40 or Windows 10, Mac ...
I have experienced the same problem.

1920X1080 and 150%
Both 'recommended' settings, HOWEVER...
when i reduce either the information is visible.
I can only wonder what other things have been missed by my using this TV as a monitor.
Thanks to Loudsnorer (and Red) for clearing things up for me.
