OSCAR and DreamStation 2

OSCAR and DreamStation 2
Hi,
I didn't see this addressed and am sorry if I just didn't look closely enough, but I was trying yesterday to upload quite a bit of data off of a Philips SD Card that has been in my DreamStation 2 since Philips sent it as a replacement for my very old SystemOne.  I got a response that said Oscar isn't set up to interface with DreamStation 2 and would need a copy of the SD card or something like that.... is that true that Oscar can't read DreamStation 2 data (I do have the latest version on both my Mac and PC and was not successful with either one)?  And if that is true is there any other option?  Philips DreamMapper no longer allows home upload of data per an email I received from their support desk today.  Thanks for any information/advice anyone may have.  Sally Huhsign

You can see the supported machine here.
Maybe your model isn't in the list.

RE: OSCAR and DreamStation 2
Thanks.
The Dreamstation 2 APAP Advanced is definitely on the list...and I have uploaded data from it in the past, so now I am really confused.  I'm guessing there might be old machine data on the card that is confusing Oscar, but I have no idea how to deal with that without losing the data that I need.
Appreciate the reply.
Sally Thanks

RE: OSCAR and DreamStation 2
Just saw this in an older thread.... I think this is information I need as the situation described by the original poster is exactly what I encountered yesterday...
RE: Oscar complaining about replacement DreamStation
If you have data on the card and need it,
  1. Purge the imported data in your profile, or create a new profile.
  2. Go to File ⇾ Preferences ⇾ Import (Default tab).
  3. In the option, Do not import sessions older than, set the date to the first night you used the CPAP.
  4. Import the CPAP's data from the SD card.
  5. Now, format the SD card to a FAT32 (if you have format options).  This will eliminate all data, so all new entries will be yours.
  6. Place the newly formatted card in your CPAP, so it can finalize the writing of the SD card's file structure.

You should be good to go.

RE: OSCAR and DreamStation 2
What version of OSCAR are you using? I believe the DS2 file decryption was introduced beginning in version 1.4,0. If your version is 1.4.0 or newer (currently 1.5.1), and you are trying to import it into an existing DS1 profile, try creating a new profile and see if it will import.

Thank you.
That sounds easier than the reformatting described above. I’ll have to check the version. I did check to see if there were updates and there weren’t any, but I’ll make sure to look at it again. Thanks again for the input.

If you used the OSCAR Check for Updates, it will not work. This is a byproduct of upgrading to a secure download URL.

Sorry.... I'm a bit dense about these things... are you saying I just need to download a new version?  Thanks for putting up with my dumb question.

RE: OSCAR and DreamStation 2
Sorry for the long delay.  Just want to say thanks as I finally got back to this and all is well now that I downloaded the latest Oscar version.  For some reason Dreammapper thinks my data card is corrupt but Oscar has no issues with it so I have the stats that I need.  Thanks again for your help. Thanks
