Newbie Q on using OSCAR for first time

Newbie Q on using OSCAR for first time
I just discovered that my Airsense 11 stopped transmitting data to the MyAir cloud about 3 months ago. I had not looked at it for a while because I don't need to... my reports are always consistent. However, I now need the data for an insurance renewal, but live in a rural location and it's a chore to get to my device provider and/or sleep clinic for a physical data extraction. So... I found out about OSCAR. Just installed it and put an empty 32GB SD card in my machine. Question: Does the SD card only record new data starting tonight and going forward, or does it capture previously untransmitted data?

On a side note: This is not a critical issue because I'm figuring out a fix. But I (like other remote users) rely on that data transmission function to communicate with sleep clinics. From what I understand, the AS11 stopped transmitting probably because the cell provider(s) in my area shut down the legacy (3G?) network that the device was using. If that's what happened, it's the responsibility of Resmed to provide a workaround, perhaps a firmware update. Hell, I've got a camera that costs less than the AS11 and the maker sends out firmware updates all the time. But I've been using Resmed CPAP models for a number of years, and from my experience they are completely unresponsive to consumer complaints and concerns. I guess they don't care because they don't have to.

thanks in advance.

Hi Tman1966! - Welcome
First, since your post is about a software issue, I've moved your thread to the Software Support Forum.

It will take more than a firmware upgrade to move beyond 3G service. It would require a cellular hardware change that is soldered in to the motherboard.

The AS11 will retain 365 days of summary data without the SD card being present. If you use an SD card, it can record 30 days of detailed data and 30 sessions of high resolution data. You must have the SD card in the CPAP while it is in use to record the last 2 types of data.

Your AS11 has been tested up to a 128GB card size, but any card 4GB or higher is fine.
