OSCAR help
Hi, I just started using my CPAP this week for the first time.
I have an Resmed Airsense 11 and I use the 8-14cm pressure with EPR 2, Ramp off and Humidity level 2. I have two days of data below, could someone help me understand what this means and what pressure would be better for me?

RE: OSCAR help
Most if not all of your events are centrals.. A central apnea is NOT caused by an obstruction. You are holding your breath. Because you are asleep there is not much you can do about it. A special machine is available that can treat centrals but the machine you have will not. We can see if changing to a constant pressure instead of a variable pressure may help, it can't hurt.
I would suggest you do the following settings for one night to see if it helps. Min 10 max 10 EPR off Give it one night and we will see if that helps.
Apnea (80-100%) 10 seconds, Hypopnea (50-80%) 10 seconds, Flow Limits (0-50%) not timed Cervical Collar - Dealing w DME - Chart Organizing
RE: OSCAR help
Hi, I
Hi, the first night which is not listed here, I had an even spread between my OA and CA and the day I upped the pressure to 10/9-16 I had more CA events. When decreasing the pressure to 8-14 last night, the central apneas decreased. Would just lowering my maximum to 11 help? When I was initially tested for my OSA, it said it was all Obstructive, is there a chance the cpap is inducing the central? |
