OSCAR review requested
Hello,
I received my Resmed Airsense 10 in September and attempted to use it nightly from September until October and never averaged more than 3 hours a night. I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling like I was choking or I would wake up from the sound of air wooshing out of my mouth.
I caught covid in October and was really sick for a few weeks and then just couldn't talk myself into trying this dang cpap again until my provider called asking me to bring my card in for a compliance review! I had never been told there was a requirement. In fact, I never received any paperwork with my machine. They handed it to me and told me to watch youtube videos to learn how to use it and take care of it. So I toyed with the idea of just giving the cpap back but decided to ask my doctor to request an extension and started doing some research.
I adjusted my pressure to 11 (originally it was 4 or something and then I moved it to 9 and then 10 and then went to 12 and found 12 was too high so 11 seems to be more of a sweet spot). I got a chin strap that holds my mouth shut.
I'm now using the machine for at least 4 hours a night but probably only sleeping with it for 2.5-3 hours (and the other time its when I'm in bed reading).
I was just diagnosed with an inflammatory arthritis autoimmune disease and NEED to be able to sleep on my back because sleeping on my sides is now painful. I NEED to figure out how to work with this cpap machine.
Can you all please try to help me?
Oh my original diagnosis was an AHI of 8.
I took 2 screenschots because I guess my laptop screen is small and I couldn't get all of the charts on there.
