Ontario ADP program - Philips recall
In Ontario (Can), we have the ADP (Assistive Devices Program) that funds 75% of long term health devices such as CPAP.

On July 30, 2021, Health Canada issued additional information concerning the recall. Health Canada is advising users to do the following.
A manufacturer recall does not qualify for early replacement device under the Assistive Devices Program’s policy for the replacement of ADP-funded devices.

So, things are not any smoother up here in the great white north, eh.

On July 30, 2021, Health Canada issued additional information concerning the recall. Health Canada is advising users to do the following.
- Talk to their physician or medical device provider first before stopping or changing how they use their device, as the benefits of using these devices may outweigh the risks for many users.
- Register their device on the Philips recall website or call 1-877-907-7508. Philips has established a registration process where the user can look up their device serial number and begin a claim if their unit is affected.
- Clean their device only according to the manufacturer's Instructions for Use, as the use of non-validated cleaning methods could contribute to potential issues.
