Oscar Compliance

Oscar Compliance
I have been using SleepyHead ever since I started my CPAP therapy several years ago, and it's been working really well, so I followed the good old rule not to fix it, if it ain't broken. And now I still decided to take a closer look at Oscar. One of the first things that struck me is the compliance report. Even though SleepyHead properly shows 100% compliance for any time period (4 hrs daily), Oscar is reporting 37% for the last 30 days, 56% for the last 6 months and 75% for last year.

Compliance is set to 4 hours, same as in SleepyHead. The only thing I can think of is that there were periods when I did not use my CPAP machine. And while those should not count, at least in my humble opinion, it appears that may be the culprit here. Please correct me if I'm wrong, and if possible, let me know if there is any way to change this in the settings.

RE: Oscar Compliance
That is the culprit and it should count. days not used are non-compliant days!
SleepyHead was wrong on this one. Also in Sleepyhead, it depends of which compliance cal you are looking at. SH actually calculated it 2 different ways with 2 different results.

Since I'm not covered by any insurance, compliance doesn't mean anything to me. However, it simply doesn't seem right that the days not used are taken into consideration. That's all. Thanks for the explanation.

The whole concept of using a CPAP is to well, use it. If you are not using it the CPAP is doing you no good. Different organizations have dirrerent requirements for compliance. While you are 'allowed" to miss days and be compliant, the hours use and number of days does vary. These things can be varied.
