Oscar charts - lots of CA?
Hi all - new to this CPAP world - I got my Airsense 10 a week ago.
Mouth breather but looking to change that =)
Anyway - looking at Oscar has me a bit concerned about CA events - albeit they could be because of the CPAP.
Did a home study and asked about CA - they said no, said mild Apnea.
If someone would be kind enough to take a peak at these charts.
Sunday was a pretty solid nights sleep - Monday obviously not.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Bryon
RE: Oscar charts - lots of CA?
Don't worry about it. The events are mixed, and may or may not be central apnea. There are a lot of reasons to see CA flagged even when the actual event is obstructive. You have some leaks and a lot of flow limitation. Flow rates are extremely variable I think we should look closer (zoomed image) and see why things are happening, consider higher minimum pressure and probably use some EPR.
RE: Oscar charts - lots of CA?
Thank you! I upped min pressure to 8 and set EPR =1 yesterday.
Also spent some time adjusting the mask per the guide here. Helped a lot.
Had a good night.
Will check back in a few days a see how things are going.
