OSCAR newbie here- please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Everything is fine when I import to a new installation but then I can't seem to access the profile again??? Where do I need to click? When I launch OSCAR, I get this white screen (attached) but can't access my profile by clicking on the name. No icon on the side bar does anything when I click it. The drop down menus look like they will work, but don't seem help either. What am I missing?
Background in case it's not just me: Multiple re-installs with different data and paths.
I downloaded 1.5.3 for x64 from the links here. I use a Win 10 x64 machine and installed it to my chosen directories. I added a profile using minimal info -just my name. The SD card data transferred well and all looked good. After I exited the program, however, I could only access the white screen (attached) with profile listed but had no access to it.
I couldn’t access the profile by clicking it or by clicking anything on the right hand panel. There was no “welcome’ tab or Daily tab etc like before. The drop down File menu offering to import did find the SD card and appeared to import from it but the screen never changed. Is there something else to click?
My chosen directories are deeply nested; so, thinking that the path was too long, I uninstalled and tried again using a shorter path to the directories and different profile name. Same thing-
Then I uninstalled again, downloaded again (whole new file), and deleted any folders that contained remnants I could find of, executables and data from previous efforts. I reinstalled taking defaults and filling out the profile with all new data. Same thing.
Misc background in case it helps: I recently had a USB keyboard issue and had to start in Safe mode using a PS2 KB. I think there may be a software incompatibility somewhere because my other USB devices are fine but new USB KB’s didn’t work either despite good drivers and switching to different USB sockets, (Using a PS2 now). Also, I’m not positive but OSCAR may have been open initially at the time the KB became unresponsive and I needed to shut down using a mouse. If so, I likely didn’t exit the program . MalwareBytes says no problem.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP !!!
