profile lost, new profile, now unsupported data
HI everybody
When i first joined the forum, I kept getting unsupported data until suddenly one day the dat was there. So after 3 months of overseas travel and no oscar use, I lost my profile. I ended up opening a brand new one and  now got the dreaded unsupported data again. What is happening. How do I fix it? I remember seeing one response which was 'pointing  oscar where to find the data. How do I do that? not much tech nowse here. Do I just give up and go to sleep HQ?  Cheers
Ps I have an old macbook air but it is on big sur
pps I have tried sleep Hq today and it did upload that data there by my sslecting and dragging it into the uploader so the car seems to be ok.

RE: profile lost, new profile, now unsupported data
Hi again. Im replying to my own post to say I found a fix to this issue on my mac. I copy and pasted the files from the USB into the oscar-data folder ( the files already there had different names profiles, logs and an xml file), and then imported once more and voila, all the files form both my lost previous profile and new profile are showing up. Fingers crossed they wont go disappearing again! Im repeating this as I had put a request out as a new user over a year ago, so Im sorry for doubling up  Shy

You should not copy the SD data to the OSCAR_Data folder. This runs the risk of corrupting your OSCAR data. You should create a dedicated folder for the SD data, then point OSCAR to import from this folder. This also allows you to have archived copies of the SD data if the card should go bad.

RE: profile lost, new profile, now unsupported data
Hi Red
Sorry about the delay in replying I have since created a new folder but I have to open a new folder every time I import so I now have lots of folders with 'no data' which work only on the day they are created. I do have an old Mac mid 2013, which can't update to the newest app so maybe this is the issue. I would love some help though, and surely there are members with  Macs. I guess I should rephrase my question to Mac users. I had no choice but to try the sleep HQ copy and paste as you were the only reply, so was on my own to find my own fix.
Cheers
