RE: PS settings
Could you please clarify what you're asking and for what kind of machine?

RE: PS settings
Dreamstation ASV Does Pressure Support Low only effect APAP low. For example APAP low +PS low= IPAP low and APAP high +PS high=IPAP high?

RE: PS settings
The ASV machine can auto adjust the Pressure Support (PS). Your basically setting a range that the machine will use. if you set your minPS to 2, you'll at least get 2 PS whether you need any or not. every time you inhale the pressure will increase by at least 2. With the max PS, your limiting how high the ASV will adjust the PS. for this example lets use max PS 8. Now, the machine will never deliver more than 8 PS. It can deliver less, but not more. With a range of min 2 and max 8 the amount of PS you get will be determined by the machine never less than 2, never more than 8.
hope this helps, I almost got confused reading it back to myself...

RE: PS settings
I think I have it. So if your APAP max is 11 when you take a breath IPAP will go up a min of 2 or a max of 4 to between an IPAP between 13 and ?

Your profile says 15. I don't know the particulars of your machine but if your minimum EPAP is 11, your maximum IPAP is 15, and your PS ranges from 2 to 4, then your EPAP stays between 11 and 13, and your IPAP stays between 13 and 15. EPAP is always somewhere between 2 and 4 below IPAP.

RE: PS settings
I think i need to start over. give me another chance.
the APAP max is the maximum amount of pressure the machine will give. no matter what range the PS is set at. think of it as a pressure relief valve. Usual setting for this is 25 cmH2O. APAP max limits how much pressure the machine puts out. how much pressure is put out by the machine is determined by the epap + PS.

RE: PS settings
Did you download the clinical manual from the top of the page.
Depending on what is wrong, can change where the min and max are, even with auto settings. an example of what I did on my resmed. I put my min epap on my median apap number from sleepyhead, I also set the min PS just under the median PS on sleepyhead. initially the max were set on the machine max.The PS became obvious as I used the machine. If it is maxing out or not enough flow during a central/PB. I think the philips also has ti/rise/trigger/cycle adjustment on some ASV models?

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure. https://aasm.org/resources/practiceparam...rating.pdf

RE: PS settings
RLSdss, do you have the results of your diagnostic sleep study or titration? I really think it would help to take this back to the beginning. What you are doing with your therapy makes no sense. Do you have central or complex apnea, or simple obstructive apnea? What are we trying to accomplish with this ASV?
