Paging Sarcastic Dave
Hey there mate, wondered if you had any success with obtaining an AVAPS yet?  I've been trying mine for a week and I have to tell you that it's not all it's cracked up to be.  I don't know how the hell anyone can find this more comfortable than a BIPAP.  I think I'm sensitive to frequent pressure changes.

Also I'm curious to talk to you about your medical conditions.  My pulmo swears up and down I don't have COPD because I don't wheeze and because my FEV1/FVC ratio is right where it's supposed to be.  But I also know that COPD can really be sneaky.  Can we talk more at length about your condition and mine?  And if you'd rather PM we can do that too?  Or if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine too, just was hoping we could maybe help each other Smile

Also I wish I had gotten an actual IVAPS instead of an AVAPS.  The one I have targets minute rate, not tidal volume.  So you can breathe at 30 respirations per minute and have crappy tidal volume but the AVAPS says, "This is fine".  And delivers no pressure to increase your tidal volume.  I'm going to go back to BIPAP and then start tinkering with the AVAPS to better synch up with my breathing.

Unfortunately, Sarcastic Dave's last visit on the board was July 22, 2022. He was experiencing some medical problems at that time. Hopefully, he will put in an appearance in the near future and fill us in on his exploits.
