Thanks again, Red. Important to know if this is going on! If it happens again maybe one of those smart plugs can tell us something.

SmartStart, RERA, and Inaccurate Session Time?

I enabled SmartStart and Stop for last night because I once failed to press the power button hard enough and spent the entire night with a tiny trickle of air. It somehow cut my 6-hour session down to less than three and something triggered my first problem with RERA.

I'd love to hear any impressions from more senior members.

(Having trouble getting my screenshot to appear...still trying.

Giving up for now, friends. Have another screenshot that shows attachment is down there and I clicked "Add attachment" before posting but I won't be able to post it, either.

Hi Pamelala,

The Clear Airway events at the beginning of the night look somewhat positional plus you may have still been awake.  Amazingly, we can hold our breath for long periods of time even rolling over or trying to get comfortable, and cause CA's to flag.

The biggest issue I see is the high leak rate.  Look at the grayed out areas on your graphs... those are where leaking occurred.

It appears you may be mouth breathing or your mouth/jaw relaxes and falls open once you are asleep.  This needs attention as the ResMed algorithm can handle leaks up to 24 L/min.  Once over that, you are in large leak territory and the machine simply can't compensate, which could mean it's missing flagging apneas.

You'll have to determine if you would benefit from mouth taping or some even use a soft cervical collar to help prop of the chin/jaw area.

A last resort may be to try a full face mask.
