[Pressure] Dropped PSmin by 6 points

Dropped PSmin by 6 points
I have complex sleep apnea for long time and central apnea is Major component of it. There is something I found accidentally two weeks ago which reduced my PSMin by 6 points bringing my PSMin to 5.5. Wow. It’s so far a life changer for me. My evening sleepiness is mostly gone and I am getting great sleep in night and getting up much fresher. There is change in my work schedule but I don’t think it’s related to it. Any curious or interested souls here who wants to know? If nobody wants to know how this happened, it’s okay, I will just go away  Big Grin

Thanks
Sach

OSCAR will help us solve the mystery. A guess? The SV Auto's therapy was either not treating or mishandling something.

No, Machine was working 100% correct. Pressure setting were done manual. It was not auto. Wrong assumption
It is bipap auto Av machine not cpap auto

I've never understood why such high pressures are necessary. I reduced my own pressures from 11-20 doctor prescribed down to 4-12 and have never been happier.
Trying to sleep with high pressures is like sticking your head out the window of a speeding car while trying to sleep at 80 miles an hour.
Just can't happen and I have no idea how people sleep with that pressure.

You aren't understanding my post. The setup was incorrect somehow. First off, why would you ever need a Min PS of 11.5 in SV Auto, and then drop it by 6? Either some quack have bad advice on setup or someone has no clue on SV Auto and treatment.

I would think a Minimum pressure support like that would induce Centrals (edit)insured instead of treating them. Someone that's controlling that machine's settings is wacked.

If lower pressures do not work, higher pressures are needed. I do have brain issue which caused my central apnea a decade ago. If you have strong breathing impulse, you don’t need higher pressure but if have weaker impulse, you will need higher pressure. Now you understand. To give you perspective, there was a time I was not breathing on 25-30 pressure but things have improved now. There is more medical science than you know. You might ask how I slept when not breathing at so high pressures, answer is I did not.

Problem is that you have limited knowledge of medical science and making conclusions too fast. There is more medical science than you know. Have you studied medical neuroscience?

just to reiterate, setup was 100% correct

Obviously not set up 100% correctly, if it was simply return to those settings, 100% correct settings are the best, aren't they?

Here, the correct settings are those that work best for the individual, not some textbook norm.

Please take this game you are playing to the off topic forum. Games such as the one you seem to be playing are not welcome here. Now if you want to discuss therapy that fine, discus therapy.
