I seriously considered the DreamStaion but decided against it because like so many of the other current models there is a protruding knob that would easily get damaged in the environment that I will continually use it in. My last machine was an S8, it was very robust hard to damage and could have lots of gear loaded around it.
I was very impressed with the De Vilbiss DV54 suggested in an earlier post. It was a robust machine of similar size to my S8 and probably I should have bought that. Because I am very interested in the evolution of the communications side of these machines I have bought an AirMini now for better or worse so I could investigate the communication siide of it further. It is compact, robust and easily packable.
I may live to regret it this decision and the De Vilbiss would have met my particular needs easily.
