CPAP-induced central apneas?

My sleep dentist concurred, saying that studies show that fixed pressure is most effective. But even using auto pressure I was experiencing some central apnea events.

These central apnea events are occurring in clusters over a 10 minute period - I think it's unlikely that in my case they are resulting from position changes.

I'm a fixed pressure advocate too, apap is typically worse for causing arousals and micro arousals in patients when juxtaposed with cpap, I've also titrated on apap/bipap/autobipap and cpap, and cpap has been by far the best mode of therapy for me as well.

Please lower you EPR down a notch too please as our other friend stated Smile

good call missed it cuz epap isn't showing on the pressure graph. but the first thing to try is to reduce or turn off EPR.
