Pressure question
#1
Pressures
Hi, if a certain pressure gives you mild aerophagia but helps to better keep your airway open for exhalation is it possible that over time you can get used to that pressure? When I go up to 11 I get a mild aerophagia but it helps with exhales. At 10 when I take off the EPR the Flow Limitation goes up so leaving the EPR on helps that. But I think I need more pressure. Sleep doctor is useless in this matter.

RE: Pressures
Welcome

We need to see an Oscar chart to offer good advice.  Would you please post a couple of recent Oscar charts?  Thanks.  Smile

Also, if EPR is helping you feel better, use it set at 3.

RE: Pressures
You can't see from Oscar that a pressure of 11 is giving me aerophagia. My real question is, is it possible that I could get used to a pressure that gives me mild aerophagia to where that doesn't happen anymore. I already know I need the higher pressure. Thanks!

Pressure question
Hi, I’m wondering if a certain pressure gives you slight aerophagia if you would eventually get used to it?

RE: Pressure question
Yes, aerophagia can subside, but it doesn't always. Aerophagia can also be correlated with actual arousals, so correcting for those can correct for aerophagia, theoretically.

RE: Pressure question
An Oscar chart will show us what is happening, not just your pressure settings. We could better help you if you posted at least one.
