Quattro FX full face mask?

Quattro FX full face mask?
As I struggle with new high pressures, I ordered an older favorite of some for high pressures, the Quattro FX full face mask.
My go to mask is Airtouch F20 but it leaks and does not last at 25 pressure.  I'm wondering if many people here are still
using this with high pressures? I have tried F and P simplus and Vitera.  Both are good but leak at high pressures quite a bit
I actually love the Vitera.  I don't like the newer nasal cradle masks.

RE: Quattro FX full face mask?
I used the ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV from 2017-19. I think all but the first few months, I used the F&P Vitera. It handled Max IPAP 25 fine, without being tight.

I've not been on therapy since then, because of reasons like COPD and Dr. Donothing. So what I convey is based on several years old memory.

On the Vitera, mask size affects how tall it is up and down the face, and how wide it is across the mouth. I had to use large mostly.

With the mask sitting on your face, and machine pressure on, loosen the top of the head strap and position the mask near the chin at the bottom, lock it there. Bottom set of straps were loose, just enough to hold a light tension to keep mask from leaking. Top of face set, between loose and mid tight. I ended up with about a half to quarter inch clearance with the forehead stabilizer. It wasn't touching.

The tighter you go, then more leaks will appear. When you push on the mask towards your face, the cushion should deflect quite a bit like an air spring.

I used the vitera for almost a year and I loved it. However, when I got onto pressures of 25 that want to go even higher on ASV all masks leak.

If it helps any, the ResMed ASV hard stops at IPAP Max 25. It physically can't go higher. You may have settings that seem to allow higher IPAP Max, but it can't do it.

RE: Quattro FX full face mask?
Great points by Dave.  I have both the Quattro FX and the Vitera.  Both great masks IMO (especially with higher pressures).  Like Dave, I can loosen the tops straps with the Vitera (and the top forehead clip doesn't even touch my forehead like Dave mentioned).  With the Quattro FX, I use thin mask liners and a small size straps and tighten them pretty tight.  But not many leaks.  The mask liners seem to help just a little bit more in decreasing leaks by filling in any small gaps between the silicone mask and my face (and prevent marks on my face when tightening down the straps).  Dave and I both understand ASV and ventilators:  IPAP can increase pretty high and need to be dealt with in regards to leaks, etc.  When my IPAP got over 20 in the past, it wasn't the actual pressure that woke me up.  It was the leaks - both the noise and the air blowing into my eyes, or I could have slept through it.  Just something to think about.

Also, always watch out for chest pain with really high pressures with these machines - actual physical damage can occur to the lungs as per my Pulmonologist.

I made a move to switch from sleeping on a flat level bed to sleeping on a 45 degree angle upper body wedge several years ago in an attempt to be able to lower my pressure.  I am super grateful I have been able to tolerate it nightly; and have been able to decrease both my EPAP and IPAP significantly.  The hips and back have to be able to tolerate that high of an angle though.
