So, I changed my low number to 8. When it kicked on after my ramp, I had an instant headache, ear pressure and chest pain. I lowered it back down to 6.6 Not sure why that number, it was late and it was a number lower than 8.
I am SHOCKED about my leak rate!! (Well, I think it looks good, but can't read lines very well) I thought the Dreamwear under the nose mask wasn't going to work for me afterall, but heck, looks good! I did buy pillows and am going to try that tonight. They just click into the same frame so worth a try. The gap is weird, I woke up and my mask was off, dunno what happened. Still can't get the left hand side in one shot.

You have mostly CAs. Did you have lots on your sleep study? If you don't know, could you post a redacted copy of the sleep study? That will help others to help you more effectively.
Machine: ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto

My sleep study is posted closer to the beginning of the thread. I don’t remember anyone telling me about this after my home sleep study. I talked to her after the study about morning headaches and she said I was doing fine….incompetent at the least!! She said I could always do an in lab test. Should I wait in line for that to be scheduled?

I have just been catching up on your thread.
The major problem I see with your graphs are the central apneas. They are most likely positional, with the tell-tale clustering of events. Checking back with your sleep study, the central apneas were not particularly significant. The main items making up the your AHI of 44 events/hr, (classified as severe), were obstructives and hypopneas. However a really important item missing from.the study is the breakdown of AHI amongst supine, prone left and right positions. Unfortunately these columns have been left blank, which is not too clever! There are several causes of positional apnea:- - Your trachea (windpipe) has been bent or otherwise distorted, when your head moves down towards your chest, enough to totally or partially block the airways. It can be happening either in the supine or lateral sleeping positions. - In the deep sleep phase, when there is a semi paralysis of the muscles (loss of muscle tone), the tongue, under the force of gravity, can fall back against the wall of the phalanx, blocking the airway. This is can be most often when sleeping in the supine position. - The last possibility is having a pillow that may be too thick and is pushing your head towards your chest, blocking your airways. The solutions to these issues can be:- - The use of a soft cervical collar for straightening the trachea, - A device to prevent supine sleeping, such as a vest with sown-in tennis balls, or a wedge pillow. - Replace a thick pillow with a thin one. Hope it helps. P.S. I tried this morning to get the screen shot I suggested, but no go. Like you, I could only scroll down and then take shot. I really don't remember what I did in the last. I bad a verh big monitor, and maybe I hsd changed the resolution. Or I am just plain wrong, and my memory is kaput!

Thank you for the information. From what I think I am doing all night is side sleeping. I could be wrong, could sleep on my back for a bit. Who knows. It was a home sleep study. I’m worried about the CA’s. I will send my results to my worthless doc and see if they ever get back to me. I will try your suggestions for a few nights and see what happens.
